Arrive Leh by morning flight and transfer to the hotel. After welcome drinks / breakfast at the hotel, take complete rest for acclimatization to the high altitude. In the late afternoon, visit the city centre and walk through the markets for general orientation, followed by a visit to Shanti Stupa. which offers beautiful evening views of the valley. Overnight at the hotel.
Day-2: In Leh: Visit Monasteries & Palaces / approx. 110 kms / 4 hoursAfter breakfast. proceed on sightseeing tour of Shey Palace with its associated Gompa housing the gigantic copper-gilt statue of the Buddha, then the 12-storied Thiksey Monastery dating from the 16th century. and then the 17th century Hemis Monastery, biggest monastery in Ladakh. On the way back to Leh, drive across the Indus to visit the Stok Palace Museum. Overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast leave for Nubra Valley via the Khardong-la (aft: 18,380 ft. / 5.602 m), highest motorable pass in the world. The pass offers spectacular views of the Zanskar range across the Indus Valley in the south, and the Saser massif in the north. Reach Deskit / Hunder in the afternoon to explore the village and the white Sand Dunes where you can opt for a short camel Safari on the double-humped Bactrian camel found here (optional). Overnight in camp / hotel at Hunder / Deskit.
Thereafter, drive back to Leh via Khardongla, reaching in the afternoon. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.
After early breakfast leave for Pangong Lake via Chang-la pass (alt: 17.370 ft. / 5,486 m). Pangong Lake (alt:14,500 ft.) is 4-5 kms wide and 135 kms long of which some two-third portion lies on the other side of the Indo-China border. After sightseeing and admirir the dramatic set of the lake, drive back to Leh, reaching by the evening. Overnight at the hotel.
Day-6: In Leh: Visit Alchi - Likir Circuit / approx.145 kms round trip / 5 hours
After breakfast proceed on sightseeing tour of the Alchi-Likir circuit, visiting the 15th century Likir Monastery. and then the 11th century: Choskor, oldest surviving monastic complex of Ladakh and famous for its frescoes and architecture - a UNESCO listed heritage site sightseeing and lunch here, drive back to Leh, en-route visiting Sangam (confluence of Indus & Zanskar rivers). Magnetic Point, Gun Pathar Sahib and Hall of Fame (museum of military heritage). Overnight at hotel.Day-7: Departure Leh: Transfer to Airport.
